FAQs - website templates & bespoke design

What is the difference between template and bespoke design?

A template is a ready-made website design that can be put onto the web within minutes. Bespoke design however is a customised process that involves us building a website to your requirements. Typically this takes 2-8 weeks to design (and program if required).

If I would like a bespoke solution what is the process?
It usually starts off with you sending us a brief of what you want your site to look like and do. This includes a detailed description of the pages that need to be on the site, what features you need ie a newsletter subscription form, e-commerce, members login, a reservation/booking system, online editing. Then what type of look you are going for ie business, childrens, arty, playful etc.

No doubt we will have a few more questions to ask you but after that stage is done we will work out how long it will take to design, then for the programmer to do his part and then finally we can get a quote off to you. Then its over to you!

If I like the look of another site can you do something similar?
Yes. This is usually the best way of getting us to know what type of look you are going for. And then we can go ahead and design/build something similar for you.

If I go for a template website using your Site Managers, will I be able to make changes to it?
No, the design is fixed and you can not change it. You can only change the text and picture content that goes on it. Having said that if you do require layout changes, colour changes then we charge an hourly rate of £20 per hour for custom work. We will of course quote before we do any work.
